What do you look for when buying clothes? Do you look for classically beautiful pieces that can be worn for any occasion? Are you looking for more trend-led pieces in gorgeously sumptuous fabrics? Perhaps you are looking for clothes that are of couture quality, but also wearable?
New York City-based brand HONOR has you covered, no matter your age, style or needs.
Designed by native-New Yorker, Giovanna Randall, the collections are all created from fabric sourced from the finest mills in the world.
The brand’s main design code is based around the everyday wear of luxe fabric - the idea of ‘saving for best’ is certainly not applicable here.
The concept of wearing your favourite clothes to complete mundane, everyday tasks, whilst being made to feel fabulous when sporting the finest clothes in a woman’s wardrobe is an approach that is integral to the brand’s ethos.
The collection, which made its debut in September 2010, is all handmade in New York City, a key factor contributing to the higher price point of Randall’s designs.
The inspiration for S/S 15 started with a psychedelic fantasy, all frothy cakes, plaster moldings and candy buttons.
Signature details include laser cut fabric and pigment prints, leather and neoprene have been embossed and laser cut – a first for the designer. Check out some of the gorgeous neoprene items here.
Prints were inspired by vintage textiles, as demonstrated here on the gorgeous bell sleeve fleur-de-lis dress.
This fabulous LBD is embellished with pearls, a direct interpretation of the candy button inspiration.
“I wanted it to feel like a brand that could have existed a hundred years ago and was rediscovered.”– Giovanna Randall
Worn by such powerful women as Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey and Kirsten Dunst, it is certainly a brand designed by a woman, for women.
Inspired by Randall’s grandmothers and named after her youngest sister, Randall is a girls’ girl and she’s got your back, no matter the occasion.
